KPI Tree and Context Menu

This chapter describes the organization of KPIs in the KPI tree on the main screen. Furthermore, it provides a short description of the KPI context menu.

For more information about displaying KPIs, see the chapter Displaying KPIs.

KPI Tree

In the KPI tree, the list of KPIs is divided into logical groups. Each group can contain other subgroups. The main group in the KPI tree is called All KPI. This group contains all the other groups. Most KPIs are organized into individual subgroups, but certain KPIs are not assigned to any subgroup. These KPIs are displayed at the end of the KPI tree under the main group All KPI.

You can add a specific KPI to one or more groups by clicking Edit next to the search toolbar. This button navigates you into the KPI group maintenance screen. For more information about KPI group maintenance, see the chapter KPI Groups.

KPI groups in the KPI tree have either an active or an inactive status. A KPI group is inactive only when all KPI values for the selected systems and servers were not collected in the selected time interval.

KPI Context Menu

The KPI context menu provides a default set of functions that you can execute for each KPI. To open the KPI context menu, right-click a specific KPI in the KPI tree.

The following options are available:

  • KPI Info: Displays a pop-up with basic information about the selected KPI, e.g. the KPI name, description and unit.

It allows you to create a list of your favorite KPIs all grouped together. This function is user-dependent, which means that you can create your own list that is not visible to other users.
