Collector for Monitoring System Logs
The technical name of the Collector for Monitoring System Logs is /DVD/MON_CL_COL_SYSLOG.
This collector falls under GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance)* monitoring. It collects information by reading the SAP system log file. It comes with two predefined KPIs. However, you can define more KPIs via the input table. The input table reflects the select options of transaction SM21.

This collector includes the following predefined KPIs by default:

If you want to monitor custom values of data in the alert log, you must define a new custom KPI in the CrystalBridge® Monitoring Cockpit before assigning it to the input table. For more information, see the chapter Creating a Custom KPI via a Collector with a Custom KPI.
The KPI value is the number of occurrences of the specified data defined via the input table and found in the alert log. You can also use existing SLG* KPIs in the input table if you do not want to create your own custom KPIs. Data will be entered into the input table either way.
Detail Table
The collector also provides detailed information about KPIs in a detail table. The detail table is called System log info – /DVD/MON_SLGINF2. It contains the following fields:
