Default Collectors
Default collectors are implemented as part of CrystalBridge® Monitoring and provide you with various KPI values. You can recognize them by their prefix /DVD/MON*.
The collectors are already configured for monitoring and you do not need to set them up, unlike custom collectors, which you do need to set up.
Default collectors have already implemented logic to calculate a default KPI. Their source code cannot be modified.
Some of these collectors enable you to edit default KPIs or create custom KPIs.
There are two basic groups of default collectors:

Collectors with Custom Settings (Input Tables): These collectors contain custom settings (input tables) that you can use to edit a default KPI or define a custom KPI for your purposes.
Default collectors with custom settings are further divided into the following types:

Default collectors with a custom rule: These collectors allow you to enhance a default KPI by creating new rules for its collection. For more information, see the chapter Collectors with a Custom Rule.

Default Collector for User-defined SQL: This collector allows you to create your own custom KPI by defining an SQL statement. For more information, see the chapter Collector for User-defined SQL.

Default collectors with a custom KPI: These collectors include the same function as collectors with a custom rule, but you can also edit the rules of the KPI collection and assign the collector to your custom KPI name. For more information, see the chapter Collectors with a Custom KPI.
Collectors with Non-adjustable Settings
Default collectors with non-adjustable settings are delivered as part of CrystalBridge® Monitoring. For more information about collectors in general, see the chapter Collectors.
The subchapters below list these specific default collectors, which cannot be modified. The list is continually being expanded.
