Additional System Requirements for CrystalBridge® Monitoring

  • Consistent time and time zone settings within each monitored SAP system, including its OS level and dependent database.

  • The following SAP system profile parameters must be configured:

    • The parameter SAPDBHOST must contain the valid name of the host on which the database runs.

      • If this parameter is empty, the monitoring will not work as expected, and the following error message will be displayed: System parameter ‘SAPDBHOST’ has an invalid value.

    • The parameter rdisp/rfc_use_quotas must be set to the value 1

      • If this parameter is set to value 0, the monitoring will not work as expected, and the following error message will be displayed: No ARFC resources were available after <X> seconds on server <SERVER>.

  • Enough disk space within the database to store the monitoring data. The amount of data depends on the number of monitored systems and the customizing.

    • Due to the compressed format, the required storage volume is small.

  • Free work processes for batch processing and free RFC resources.

  • Free memory for the collection of data, which is typically a small amount.

  • Sufficient memory to run a dialog transaction /DVD/MON.

  • Dialog user in the central system and RFC user in the monitored systems.

  • RFC resources from the central system to the monitored systems (for remote monitoring).
