Navigation in the HTML Browser
It is possible to create navigation in the HTML browser that serves as a shortcut between two business objects. For example, you can use this function to jump from a finance document to the company code via its respective field. This makes it much easier to navigate from transaction data to a master data object. The navigation is displayed as a blue underlined hyperlink in the HTML browser.
Example of navigation field hyperlinks
There are two navigation options:
-
Navigation to the header table of the business object, in which case you are directed to another HTML view.
-
Navigation to any segment of business object, in which case you are directed to an ALV grid if multiple entries fulfill the selection criteria.
You can set up the navigation via the expert menu. To do so, start transaction /DVD/RMX_EXPERT and execute the steps under Metadata management > Data reporting > HTML browser > Create and maintain navigation definition. Optionally, in the Fridge browser, you can click Goto > Navigation definition.
