Introduction
During data transfer processes (DTP), different kinds of errors can occur. The table RSBERRORLOG (Logs for Incorrect Records) stores the error handling logs due to the following and other reasons: Warnings that are created during master data uploads for duplicate records, and single record error messages in customer-specific transformation routines.
Therefore, the table RSBERRORLOG can grow very significantly and can affect overall system performance.
You can use the report RSB_ANALYZE_ERRORLOG to identify which DTPs are responsible for the table size increase. It provides an overview of all DTP error stack requests and the number of erroneous records.
Recommendation
Our recommendation is to execute RSB_ANALYZE_ERRORLOG in background mode to learn which DTP creates the most erroneous records in the table RSBERRORLOG. Afterward, we recommend executing the report RSBM_ERRORLOG_DELETE to reduce the RSBERRORLOG table size. This action should be performed monthly.
