NLS Lookup Cockpit
When data is loaded into SAP BW, it can be accessed from customer developments, for example transformations, reports and function modules. In cases where data is partially archived and corresponding objects are accessed via SELECT(s) or other methods, these developments need to be adjusted in order to read both online data and archived data.

Using SAP standard functions, you can adjust the customer developments for SELECT(s) on DSO active tables (/BIC/A00). The SNP Outboard™ NLS Lookup Cockpit guides you through the translation process, i.e. adjusting SELECT statements so that they also read NLS data. This process includes the following steps:
-
Finding affected customer developments and checking if these developments can be translated.
-
Viewing the affected custom developments.
-
Translating the corresponding SELECT(s).
-
Searching for patterns to provide an enhanced search process.
