Introduction

This task replaces the task IDocs Deletion if the central system version is 7.40 or higher.
This report deletes IDocs without archiving them. It also provides the option to delete other objects that were created during IDoc generation – objects such as work items, links, RFC entries and application logs.

Step List

1. Make an IDoc selection in accordance with the selection criteria given.
2. If you select the Test Run checkbox, the IDocs and linked objects will be determined in accordance with the selection made, but they will not be deleted.
3. Using the parameter Maximum Number of IDocs, you can specify how many IDocs you want to delete. We do not recommend leaving this parameter empty, because if you do, all the IDocs in your selection will be taken into consideration. Our recommended value for this parameter is 100,000.

Determining the linked objects is a complex process. Activate the additional functions only if the respective objects are created during IDoc generation and have not already been removed from your system by another action.
