The default retention management implementation is delivered as part of the standard release package as of version 2011. Therefore, your product cockpit will be automatically extended with the Retention management setup steps.
If you already have SNP Outboard™ Datafridge on your system, the extended cockpit shows you the SNP Outboard™ Datafridge retention management options by default. If you want to use the default implementation instead of SNP Outboard™ Datafridge, you can do so via the expert settings (tool: CRP) by setting the parameter DEFAULT_RETENETION_IMPL to "X".
