Deletion of system ends up in dump/exceeds time limit

When deleting a system from the CrystalBridge® Monitoring Cockpit, a dump can occur if the execution takes too long. This is caused by a huge volume of collected transaction data for the system. In this case, you must delete this data manually in smaller parts.

Start transaction SE38 and execute the report /DVD/MON_DATA_DELETE.

The following options are available:

  • Time selection: Specifies data deletion by time range. If the deletion causes a dump, try to delete it using smaller time frames.

  • All data in time range: Deletes all transaction data in the selected time frame for each system that is being monitored by CrystalBridge® Monitoring. This option is selected by default. If you do not select it, you can specify the following:

    • System ID: Allows you to manually select the system from which data is deleted.

    • Tables: Specifies tables that contain CrystalBridge® Monitoring transaction data. This option is prefilled by default – do not change it unless you know what you are doing.

  • Test mode: Enables test mode. If selected, none of the database data will be deleted during the execution. Instead, CrystalBridge® Monitoring writes a list of tables that would be deleted.
