Step 2: Choose how data is collected into the custom KPI

  1. Click Settings > Collector settings. Alternatively, you can start transaction /DVD/MON_COL.

  2. Select the collector /DVD/MON_CL_COL_MEM_CPU_LAN.

  3. Double-click Collector > Inputs & rules.

  4. Click Edit in the column next to the input table /DVD/MON_DISK_I1.

  5. Click  Switch mode (Ctrl+F1) and then  Create new records (F6).

  6. Define a new rule:

    1. In the KPI name field, enter your custom KPI name. In our example, it is ZDISK_SDA_RESP_TIME.

    2. In the Value result field, enter RES_TIME.

    3. In the Disc name field, enter the custom disk to be monitored. In our example, it is sda.

  1. Click Save.
