Introduction
You can use the CrystalBridge® Analysis module to analyze systems and organizational structures in order to plan transformation projects. Your customized transformation strategy is developed based on the results.
CrystalBridge® Analysis consists of nine components. You can find some of them in CrystalBridge® – The Data Transformation Platform. They are described in the following main chapters. You can find information on the use of CrystalBridge® – The Data Transformation Platform in the subchapter About CrystalBridge® – The Data Transformation Platform.
The CrystalBridge® Analysis module contains the following components:
Enterprise Structure | - Create a geographical and hierarchical overview of your organization
- Visualize your controlling areas, companies, plants, sales and purchasing organizations
- Evaluate organizational unit usage
|
| |
Data Profiling | - Profile your master and transaction data divided by SAP module
- See your customizing table data information
- Get information about the number of rows and table sizes
|
| |
Application Overview | - Determine which SAP modules are in use
- Analyze levels below the modules (application areas)
- Gain a detailed understanding of how your system is used
|
| |
Master Data | - Select and compare master data across multiple systems
- Build golden records to increase data quality with a predefined rule set
- Constant access to master data while migrating
|
| |
Customizing | - Compares the content of customizing tables across SAP clients
- Performs a scope-based analysis to identify missing customizing that is directly related to the migrated data
- Compares multiple SAP systems/clients in one analysis
|
| |
Repository | - Compares repository objects from multiple SAP systems
- Compares the most important objects and performs a Unicode check
- Checks modifications of repositories and transactions as well as their utilization rate
|
| |
Number Range | - Compares number ranges from multiple SAP systems
- Identifies potential conflicts by showing overlapping number ranges that need to be renumbered
|
| |
Hard-Coded Value | - Identifies hard-coded values, obsolete function modules and text elements in programs
- Determines fixed values and literals that might be relevant in conversion projects
- Identifies the use of authorization checks relevant for the conversion
|
| |
Interface Analysis | - Discover RFC connections, web service calls, database calls, EDI/IDOC connections and other communication points
- Determine the relevance of interfaces by data volume or usage frequency
- Gain insights into otherwise hidden dependencies between systems and improve your security
