S/4 Simplification Items
The S/4 Simplification Items chapter gives an overview of which S/4 simplification items might be of relevance for the compared systems and lists them accordingly. The filter panel for this chapter is more sophisticated compared to the other filter panels. In addition to choosing whether to analyze one or more systems like in all other chapters, you can also filter by the following criteria:
-
The target release for the analysis
-
Whether you want to exclude or include any simplification items that are relevant, not relevant or must be checked manually
-
Specific simplification item IDs
-
The category of these simplification item IDs
The Overview by Category page gives an overview of the following information:
-
Simplification Item: Tile that displays the number of simplification items for the selected S/4HANA release. You can change the release either by opening the filter panel or via the drop-down menu below the KPI. S/4HANA release 2023 is preselected by default.
-
By Relevance: Donut chart that shows the simplification items grouped by relevance.
-
By Category: Donut chart that shows the simplification items grouped by category.
-
Simplification Items by Category by System Client: Table that lists the simplification items grouped by category. You can drill down further into this table to list the items themselves.
The Overview by Module page gives an overview of all the simplification items grouped by module. The KPI is the same as the one on the page before, however the chart next to it lists all the SAP modules and how many simplification items exist for those modules. The table below gives more information such as the relevancy of the simplification items and the linked SAP Notes.
The Overview by Relevance page examines all the simplification items that are relevant in the compared systems. The KPI shows the total (consolidated) number of relevant items, whereas the chart and table split this data up by system client.
The Relevant in One System page shows all the relevant items that only need to be implemented in one system.
The Manual Check page analyzes the simplification items that might need to be checked manually. This is because they could not be checked automatically but might still need to be implemented.
The Not Relevant page lists all the simplification items that are not relevant.
