Creating or Editing Scenarios
A scenario includes the structure of the CSV file that describes the interfaces.
This chapter provides information on how to create new scenarios or edit existing ones. To create or edit scenarios, use the transaction /N/SNP/SM_IICONF.
The following buttons are available in change mode:

Creating New Scenarios
Proceed as follows to create a new scenario:
- Start transaction /N/SNP/SM_IICONF.
- The window Display View “Scenario”: Overview opens. The table shows an overview of the scenarios created so far. You can create new scenarios or edit existing ones in the Scenario table.
- Click
Display -> Change to switch to change mode.
- Click New Entries to create a new scenario.
- In the Scenario column, enter the name of the scenario.
- In the Branch Name column, select the branch into which the interfaces are imported:
- DEV: Development Branch
- IMPORT: Import Branch
- In the RFC Destination column, specify the RFC connection of the SAP Solution Manager system into which the interfaces are imported.
If you leave this field empty, the RFC connection NONE is automatically used. It represents your own system.
- Optional: In the Scope Name column, enter a scope to define the extent of the analysis.
If you change the scope, the functionality of the import job must not be affected. Therefore, only adjust the scope if it is absolutely necessary, and only do this in consultation with SNP consultants.
You can minimize the extent of the analysis of the solution documentation by specifying the scope; this leads to a performance improvement for the import process.
The scope must have the visibility set to Public in order to be used.
