Changing the Database ID

You can change the ID of a database. The database ID is a unique identifier of an Interface Scan database within CrystalBridge. When you upload an Interface Scan database to CrystalBridge, it replaces a database that has the same ID, disregarding the database name. If you want to create different databases within CrystalBridge, you can use this feature to generate and assign a new ID to an Interface Scan database. This is also the case if an Interface Scan database is copied without creating a new database ID.

Proceed as follows to change the database ID:

  1. In the Interface Scan Client, click the tab Administration > DB Operations > New database id.
    • The window Database id management opens.
  1. Click Generate new id.
    • The database ID has been changed.
